A Zeta Lady is strong and determined.

The heart of a Sigma is cunning, bold, loving, and true.
Not red, pink, or green but the extravagant ROYAL BLUE.

The confidence in my step,
The dedication I convey to Scholarship.
I am a woman phenomenally,

Official poem for the 75th Anniversary

Out of the depth of God's own soul
Came a creation from a special mold.
Zeta Phi Beta is her Cherished Name.
There is none other on can claim

Behold her appearance of Blue and White
As she rides the White Dove in its magnificent flight
She soars on the wings of this great Bird of Peace
With a heart that is humble, a heart that is meek.

Her countenance is calm; her face is serene,
Bathed in goodness, held in high esteem.
Her smile is radiant with a frown.
The cloud encircles her head like a crown.

Sprinkled deep within her mind
Are the goals and objectives, one of a kind.

Definition Of A Queen

When walking in time the Most Honorable felt incomplete,
He looked at his brothers and developed an idea unique.
None before he had such vision, from this seed an organization
of lovely ladies was risen, blooming with splendor, created to rule the world,
this foundation was set by five lovely pearls.
in 1920 the year like no other, they chose colors to compliment their mighty brothers.
Now these illustrious ladies walk the earth with authority.

Yes you guessed it their the ladies of the Sweet Zeta Phi Beta Sorority
     Incorporated for an organizational fame, the founders meant business you can see in their names.
Arizona was sharp as a Cleaver, while Myrtle stayed Faithful,
Viola kept things Going, for Pearl would never Neal,
Fannie was never Pettie and was bright as a million Watts,
so rather, it's Z-Phi or EE-I-KEE. The Zetas can't be stopped.
As precious as the dove on their shield,
these ladies are so sweet it should be a crime,
but graceful and finicky like the kitty in their hand sign.
Finer Womanhood, Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love,
1,2,3,4 these are the principles of the ladies I adore.
So when you see a Zeta lady, bow for she is a queen, her colors are
Royal Blue and Pure White.
Her soul is pure, her heart is gold, her smile is bright.
All in all she is a diva, the Zeta lady is out of sight

Take 5 pearls of wisdom, extracted from 3 phenomenal Sigmas.
Add a drop of achievement and excellence

in academics to each of these pearls.
Each of these pearls of wisdom are to be named:
Arizona Cleaver Stemmons, Viola Tyler Goings,

Myrtle Tyler Faithful, Fannie Pettie Watts Watts, and Pearl Anna Neal.
Add originality by being the first and only to be constitutionally bonded

to a fraternity…otherwise known as Phi Beta Sigma, Fraternity Inc.
Add a virtuous amount Sisterhood by extending membership to women

who exhibit the qualities of Finer Womanhood.
Add Service by contributing to various different organizations,

promoting voter education and registration,

and offering community assistance.
Add Scholarship by providing financial assistance to those who show academic excellence.
Mix together Sisterhood, Finer Womanhood, Service, and Scholarship

with a Blue and White light, followed by the symbol of a spiritual Dove.
Plant this on the campus of Howard University in Washington D.C. on January 16, 1920.
Allow mixture to strengthen, and grow for a number of years, and the future of

          Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. will be untouchable and like no other sorority that stands before it`s light.
